Last week, my girlfriend Leila and I were invited by the JustFab team and Princess Cruises on a 7 days Caribbean cruise. It was both Leila’s and I first time on a cruise and therefore it was so exciting to experience this. Today’s blog post is going be all about life on a cruise.
Who would have ever thought that being on a cruise can be so much fun? The best part is, going with a girlfriend, making it a “Girls trip”. I was very impressed when we first got on the ship, from the room, gym, restaurant, events to the staff, it all felt so welcoming and comfortable. Princess Cruises is truly one of a kind.
The Cruise
The weather wasn’t always on our side, it rained almost every day which usually does not happen, I was told by one of the staff, but we made the best out of every moment. It was another way for my girlfriend and I to spend more time together, getting to know each other, having conversations and playing dress up in all our fun JustFab outfits. We even decided to try the seaweed body wrap which comes with a massage, all while on sea. It was 100 minutes of joy and relaxation. We didn’t even care much about the rain because there’s just so much to do on the ship itself.
Some of the stops we made:
Stop one: Grand Cayman Islands: We got a tour of the island and had some fun at the turtles farm where we got to interact with sea turtles.
Stop 2: Roatan Island, Honduras: I had my very first zip lining over the jungle of the town. What a great experience, it was such a rush and I’d do it again. After the Zip-lining, we spent our day on the beach, talking to people from the ship and the locals.
Stop 3: Costa Maya: An experience with dolphins which was Leila’s favorite, it was her first time and she looked so happy. I loved watching the joy on her face. After the dolphins experience, it started raining so we spent the day on the ship swimming in the beautiful pool under the rain. One of my favorite moments!
Stop 4: Cozumel, Mexico: Swimming with Stingrays, well we didn’t actually swim with the stingrays because we’re both so afraid to get to do so but after 30 minutes, we did get to touch these kind creatures and even kissed one. It’s an unique experience for sure.
The rest of trip, we spent on the ship, trying different restaurants, swimming and working out. Overall , it was our first cruise and it was a beautiful experience. We got to see so many beautiful countries and places in just a week and most importantly, we got to spend some real girl time together and it brought us closer together than before.
Thanks to JustFab and Princess Cruises for such a great experience, it was a lifetime of fun and happiness I will cherish this trip forever.
