Sangria isn’t just for summer. We’re giving it a spicy autumn twist with delicious apple cider and notes of cinnamon, because we’re all about that cozy fall feel! Take a look at the recipe below and grab the glasses, this is gonna be a good one!AUTUMN APPLE SANGRIA
Servings: 12-15
INGREDIENTS:
– 5 cinnamon sticks
– 4 apples, chopped (4 medium or 5 small)
– 2 oranges, sliced into thin rounds
– 2 bottles 14 Hands Hot to Trot Red Blend
– 3-1/2 cups apple cider
– 1 cup brandy
– 1/2 cup orange juice
– 1/4 cup superfine sugar
– juice from 1 lemon
– 2 cups club soda or ginger ale
Optional extras:
– cinnamon-sugar, for rimming glasses
– tall cinnamon sticks for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1- In a large pitcher, combine wine, cider, brandy, orange juice, lemon juice, and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Step 2- Mix in chopped apples, oranges, and cinnamon sticks.
Step 3- Refrigerate for 4-6 hours, or overnight if you wish. Add club soda or ginger ale before serving!
