One of the best parts of watching the VMAs (or any award show for that matter) is seeing what each celebrity has decided to wear. From gorgeous gowns to shock-inducing frocks––it’s a fashion escapade we can’t help indulging in. Take a look below at some of our favorite looks and their trend counterparts from our August showroom!
Millie Bobby Brown was sheer perfection on this year’s red carpet. (Pun intended.) We love the tough aspect the patent leather combat boots bring to the soft femininity of this tulle dress. Sheer elements are not only huge when it comes to award show style, but for street style as well. If you’re looking to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe, the Midi Fishnet Skirt and Ruffle Tee With Mesh Detail are two of our fave sheer pieces from our current fall collection. Easily dress this look up or down with the Rosanna or Layney bootie, making it a versatile addition to your style repertoire.
We’re mad for metallics! So naturally, when Hailee Steinfeld came glamorously strutting down the red carpet in this metallic number, we were totally crushing! A little skin? Check. A little sheen? Totally! Put a little shimmer and shine in your style with the Slit Shoulder Bodysuit and the Metallic A-line Skirt––both are statement pieces that’ll add a little oomph to even the most casual of looks. Add the Mirsa pumps to complete your look.
Bring on the glamour! We just had to include these looks in the conversation, as they were our favorite of styles of the entire night! Sequins is and has always been a red carpet staple, and Heidi Klum and Mel B. did NOT disappoint. In a semi-sheer cleavage-baring gown, the former super model was a guaranteed stunner. Meanwhile, Sporty Spice gave her sequined spaghetti strap midi dress a playful pop of color via a text graphic. #teamsequins
We may not have any red carpets in our future, but hey, we can still incorporate elements of these looks into our daily style. After all, we know just how fashion savvy our JF girls are! Let us know in the comments below which red carpet looks were your fave and what you think of these styles!
