Chic Dressing For Your Best Assets

28th Jul 2017

One of the most paramount factors in trying to build impeccable style is knowing how to dress for your unique body type. You should never feel inclined to hide or minimize your curves or shape! Instead, highlight your best assets with the perfect silhouette!

Below, we have 3 of our own Justfab employees with very different body types. See how our personal stylist, Katrina, styled them in various dresses designed to complement each of their frames.

Style Names: Cold Shoulder T-Shirt DressLace Up Shift Dress

Apple shape: Carina G., Sr. Specialist Member Experience

The scoop neck is a great neckline for all body types! With Corina’s shorter torso, the cold shoulder t-shirt dress really helps elongate her neck, while the cutout detail shows off her great shoulders!

The Lace-up shift dress has a really fun and flirty lace-up neckline. The deep V neckline gives the illusion of a longer torso, while the easy shift silhouette is extremely flattering to her figure!

Style Names: Cold Shoulder Wrap DressTie Sleeve Skater Dress

Pear/Athletic: Corie D., Senior Accountant

The higher neckline is elegant while the dramatic cold shoulder is sultry, and ideal for an evening out! Pairing this dress with a sleek black bootie adds edginess and makes a play on showing a bit of skin while highlighting her curves.

The high neckline on the beautiful printed Tie Sleeve Skater Dress creates volume for Corie on top, while the cinched waistline on this dress really brings in her figure for a beautiful silhouette!

Style Names: Color Block Maxi Dress, Tie Off Shoulder Dress

Full Hourglass: Tanya T., Brand Management Analyst

This is another great example of the scoop neck working for everyone! On Tanya, it really highlighted her collar bones while the maxi dress’ tie belt brought in her waist to show off her beautiful hourglass figure.

Tanya has great shoulders and a beautiful neckline we really wanted to highlight. The Tie Off Shoulder Dress was perfect to show off that neckline and balance the midsection. This dress also has a great, easy flow with a shift style that is extremely slimming.

Let the above women and the dresses they are styled in serve as a testament to the importance of fit and silhouette when thinking about one’s own body type. You can see how the various dresses hug and compliment their frame in a way that highlights their best asset. With summer going strong and one-and-done dressing being a seasonal go-to, we hope you’re able to find the perfect fit for you! Let us know what you think of these styles in the comments below!
