Cinco De Mayo is almost here, which means there’s no better time to perfect a fabulous margarita! While we can’t deny our love for a fun, fruity marg, we’re total fans of the classic skinny, too. Fresh! Light! Low fat! Skinny margaritas are a total no-brainer.
The recipe below is the most delicious one, like, ever. Serve it in a pretty decanter and adorn your glasses with kosher salt and lime wedges. Viva la margarita!
What you need:
2 oz. of your favorite silver tequila
1½ oz. fresh lime juice
1 oz. freshly squeezed orange juice
1¼ tsp light agave nectar
Lime wedges for garnish
What to do:
Pour a layer of salt onto a small plate and slice off a small piece of lime. Run the wet edge of the slice along the rim of each glass, then dip them into the salt and roll from side to side to get the salt evenly around the rims. Add ice cubes to each glass and set them aside. Next, fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the tequila, lime juice, orange juice and agave nectar, and shake for 40 seconds. Strain into your glasses and garnish with 1-2 limes each.
