While the holidays are all about yummy meals and tasty desserts, we can’t get enough of the delicious libations that come along for the ride! Though champagne and martinis will always be close to our hearts, the holidays call for something a little extra special, don’t you agree?
This year, we’re serving up this sweet and tangy drink at all of our holiday gatherings. Appropriately named the Festive Fizz, it boasts vodka, tangy cranberry, sweet pomegranate, and just the right amount of fizzy goodness.
What you’ll need:
¾ cup pomegranate seeds
3 limes
¼ cup water
½ cup vodka
¾ cup white sugar + ¼ cup for rimming glasses
2 1/3 cup unsweetened cranberry juice
24 ounces club soda
crushed ice
fresh mint to garnish
What to do:
First, de-seed a pomegranate to get your seeds. In a bowl, whisk together the water, vodka, and ¾ cup sugar until the sugar is liquefied. Fill a large pitcher with ice and pour in the mixture. Add in the cranberry juice and club soda. Add the sliced lime and pomegranate seeds. Rim your glasses with sugar by dipping the top of your glass into a bowl filled with water, then dunking it into a bowl full of sugar. Pour your drink into the glass and garnish with fresh mint and a slice of lime. Enjoy!
