Season 15 of Project Runway is here and oh, we are glued to the TV. Kicking off the season with 16 talented designers, we are eager to see their creations as well as witness the drama on the runway.
Episode 1 theme opens up with a party where all designers are enjoying bubbly and nervously waiting for Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum to arrive. Voilà they enter, and within minutes the first challenge has been announced and the panic is settling in quickly. Their materials…party decorations – unconventional challenge as we recall from previous seasons.
Now it’s time to design and the clock is ticking. The chaos and anxiety in the room is through the roof, you can feel the tension as if you were one of the contestants.
We have to talk about the cast – diverse, witty, talented, funny, and most of all ready for a challenge. Brik, Tasha, Erin, Jenni, Dexter and Ian are just a few of the designers we will be cheering (or not) for the rest of the season. Some definitely come off with extra attitude, others take their time cutting candy and playing around with yellow wigs.
It’s time for the first runway – Zac Posen, Nina Garcia, Heidi Klum and Savannah Guthrie are looking fabulous and ready to rate their favorites and the not so lucky ones. Brik’s glitter pants were the talk but not in a positive way – don’t get us wrong, we all love glitter but the judges were not having it. Also, can we say we love his southern accent?
Erin’s unexpected bold, fuzzy and very well-tailored dress was definitely the surprise of the night– she was taking her sweet time cutting candy, how did she manage to pull this together? She did the magic and everyone loved it! Congratulations to the first challenge winner, we loved your dress.
