While we had a blast shooting in The Big Easy (New Orleans) for our summer showroom, a new season is upon us and we’re moving away from the exotic prints and vacation-ready styles, to Beverly Hills. Here, retro classics with a modern touch set the tone for our Pre-Fall campaign, while rich tones of marigold and cinnamon became the focal point of our color palette.

Los Angeles is ripe with 70’s influence- whether it be the architecture, the bar and restaurant settings, or the fashion and beauty. So what better place to shoot than in a luxe, mid-century home in the heart of Beverly Hills. In just two days we were able to capture the essence of our inspiration.
For the Pre-Fall collection we really wanted to capture that effortless approach to dressing with a polished finish. Our model, Rianne Ten Haken embodied the modern 70’s woman perfectly with loose, wavy hair and fringe bangs inspired by Jane Birkin. The cooler tones and bold prints added a nice contrast to the marigold and cinnamon, while throwback accents like the neck tie, give the collection a classic and sophisticated touch.

For our plus looks, we kept with the same mixture of deep and rich tones that mirror the retro vibe of the mid-century era. Candice Huffine, who also modeled for us in NOLA, was our model and muse again for this plus collection. The off the shoulder sweater and slim jeans made for the perfect juxtaposition of retro meets modern. You can also expect to see a lot of block heels and chunky soles in the upcoming shop, as they are great for dressing up or down and reflect the same kind of effortless style that we were going for.

Although it’s eternal sunshine here in the city of angels, we’ve got cooler days on the horizon, and we’re headed full speed towards a retro revival that’s sure to elevate and enrich your pre-fall wardrobe. So get in the groove and let our 70’s vibe carry you into the coming season.
