It’s National Sibling Day: Celebrate Our Style Then & Now

10th Apr 2016 / By Guest Contributor

Happy National Sibling Day! This is an extra special day to celebrate the beautiful bond between siblings. We decided to share this sweet moment with our staffers and their sisters to take a look back on their memories as kids and most importantly style!

It’s National Sibling Day: Celebrate our Style Then & NowI’m Rosemary, Social Media Associate. My big sisters mean the world to me! As kids, they taught me everything; how to ride my bike, go extra high on the swings, etc. We always had so much fun playing with our barbies and running around. No matter what life stirs up, one thing always remains the same… we stick together. They are my BFF’s and I admire, Yesenia and Vanessa for so many reasons. They are kind, smart and the coolest mommy’s in town!

Our Style Then and Now:

“Back then, my style was sporty but super girly! I was all about neons and mix-matching prints. Not much has changed since then. My go-to style is beachy-boho, I love to show off my bubbly personality with bright colors and trendy jewelry.” – Rosemary C., Socia Media Associate
(Wearing: 2 Pocket Front Trim Shirt, Jac Booties)

“My style has gone from bold hues to more neutral earth tones. Today comfort is key, I need to feel good in my own skin and these wide leg trouser pants do just that, plus they give me heart eyes for days!” – Vanessa C., AKA Middle Sister
(Wearing: Dolman Knit Top, Solid Culotte Pants)

“When I was younger I always second guessed my fashion sense. Thank goodness I had my sisters to make sure I looked good! Through the years, I’ve learned to select pieces that fit my lifestyle from working mommy to running around with my kiddos. I love accessorizing and wearing  pieces that keep me on trend.” – Yesenia C., AKA Older Sister
(Wearing: Trench Vest, Pocket Tunic Top, Margyl Shoes)

I’m Natasha, Director of Social Media and have been part of the JustFab family since 2012. I’ve been a big sister since 1993. My sister and I have a big age difference, 11 years to be exact. When she was little, I would call her the sunshine of our family. She always had a smile, was singing, and giving hugs. After she turned 13, the weather became more turbulent. Now that she’s a young woman, I respect our differences, but love our similarities

Our Style Then and Now:

“When I was a teenager, my style icon was Cher from Clueless. I loved dresses, makeup, platforms. Now that I have a 2-year-old and a 6-month-old, comfort is key. I still love trend-forward pieces, but in a way that fits my lifestyle.” – Natasha K., Social Media Director
(Wearing: Split Back Shirt, Bonna Sneakers, Junior Bag)

“I dressed like a wild child when I was younger and everything clashed. Now I still take bits and pieces from different trends but in a little bit more of a polished way. These pieces complement my style because there’s a story to the outfit and it’s also current at the same time.” Monica K., AKA Little Sister
(Wearing: Fringe Back Jacket, Belted Suede Dress, Chancy Heels)

I’m Bilan, Social Media Analyst and Moderator.  As much as all my siblings may have annoyed me when we were younger, there are so many benefits to having siblings. I always have an ally, I get to reap the benefits of a shared wardrobe, they’re built in babysitters and most importantly, my lifelong best friends. I can always count on my little sister, Chrissy to be supportive and encourage me in all my adventures.

Our Style Then and Now:

“My style has transitioned from preppy to casually chic. I love earth tone colors and pieces that can be dressed up with statement jewelry or dressed down with a comfortable pair of flats.” – Bilan J., Social Media Analyst and Moderator
(Wearing: Beckie Sandals)

“My style has gone from simple to modern chic. I still love a stylish look and I love taking risks so I often pair my outfit with statement pieces like a bag with a pop of color or a dramatic heel.” – Chrissy B., AKA Little Sister
(Wearing: Faux Suede Shift Dress, Essa Heels, Sullivan Bag)
