20th Apr 2016 / By Guest Contributor

Gladiators are a spring must-have! Not only are they super fashionable and trendy, but they’re also a fun and great way to add a festive spin to your everyday wardrobe. Whether you heel it up or like them flat, here are some major gladiator DOs…..and some helpful DONTs.

Our staffer Alexis T., Copywriter, loves wearing this trend and shows you how to rock each look.

Sunday Funday

Sundays are all about getting some fun in the sun, especially in Southern California where the weather is always so breezy. When you’re in the mood to chill out DO mix a flat gladiator with a comfy romper for a fun day around town. The perfect outfit to roam around the Santa Monica Pier or a summer concert at the beach!

DON’T go too short! Gladiators bring attention to your legs which is a great thing but don’t overexpose by going too short on your short shorts.

Romantic Pastels

When it’s time to dress up and turn heads, DO mix up fit & flare dresses with a sexy high gladiator for a flirty look. Blow your date away with your legs but keep some mystery up top with the neckline.

DON’T give it all away – I wouldn’t wear a revealing bodycon dress with this type of gladiator, sexy is good but it should be subtle and effortless. Remember, always classy never trashy…

Into The Blue

My wardrobe consists of a pretty muted palette these days but when it comes to making it pop, blue is my favorite hue. DO use a pop of color gladiator for a fun daytime look. With wedding season around the corner, this combination of stripes and blues is just what you need for the many upcoming brunch celebrations.

DON’T mix too many colors.  Gladiators are already a statement shoe, so don’t overkill by also colorblocking with different accent colors.

How do you style your favorite gladiatos?
