DIY: Glitter Easter Eggs

10th Mar 2016 / By Guest Contributor

It’s officially spring – the time of year for bright colors, fresh flowers and longer days as we come out of the winter months. Of all the great things that come with spring, how you deck out your Easter eggs is what really counts. Let’s be honest, we all love a craft that can double as a snack. In honor of National Craft Month, check out these step-by-step instructions to create some egg-stra sparkly eggs that are sure to impress the Easter bunny this year.

What you’ll need:
– White eggs (hard-boiled)
– White glue
– Assorted glitter
– Small bowls
EasterBasket_Blog Directions:
Step 1: Hard boil your eggs and let cool.
Step 2: Pour some glue into a small bowl and mix it with a little bit of water to thin it out.
Step 3: For fully glittered eggs, dip the eggs into the glue and wipe off any drips. For polka dots, coat your fingertip in glue and place dots wherever you want on your egg.
Step 4: Hold your egg over another small bowl and pour glitter of choice over it until the glue is completely covered. Shake off excess glitter and let dry.
Tip: So you don’t waste glitter, you can use the extra glitter that falls into your bowl to pour over your next egg – just pour over another bowl and repeat the process for each egg.
