DIY Bubble Bath Salts Recipe

3rd Jan 2016 / By Guest Contributor

With the Holidays coming to an end, it’s time to unwind and enjoy alone time. In honor of Bubble Bath Day on January 8th, we’ve put together this vanilla bubble bath salt recipe. What better way to relax than with a hot bubbling bath? It’s the perfect way to enjoy a night in with your favorite bottle of wine. So light the candles, put on your favorite tunes, and get lost in the warmth and soothing sensation of the bath.

3 1/2 cups Epsom salts
1/3 cup baby body wash
Vanilla essential oil

In a medium bowl pour the body wash and drop 2-5 drops of the vanilla essential oil. Mix the body wash, and slowly add the salt. Continue mixing until all the liquid is adsorbed. Transfer mixture into a mason jar.

Add a scoop or two to your running bathwater to activate the bubbles. If kept in a clean, air-tight container, it may last up to 3 months.

The benefits to using the vanilla essential oil is that it helps you cope with stress and it’s said to be very relaxing. Although I personally used vanilla for this recipe, you could use any other essential oil. What scent would you add instead?
