The season of traveling has arrived and we all know how hard it is to pick out the best outfits and try to pack lightly, as well. Now for all of us who are fashion obsessed, it’s so hard to plan our outfits ahead of time especially when we’re tempted to bring our entire closet (because you never know, right?). I decided to take on the challenge for my holiday travels and wear 10 pieces in 5 days. That’s six articles of clothing, one jacket, an over-the-knee boot, classic bootie and one trusty tote bag perfect for my little getaway. Of course, let’s not forget my carry-on bag that will hold all of these beauties!
When planning for an on-flight outfit, it comes as no surprise that I’m going for all-black and total comfort. A distressed sweater with faux leather pants is the way to go and heeled booties to match my favorite tote are the perfect way to finish off my look. For my jacket, I love a staple piece like this denim jacket that’s a little oversized but goes perfectly with just about everything I put in my suitcase.

Heading out on the town? Your second day outfit is all about looking stylish but also keeping things comfortable. A striped sweater dress paired with over-the-knee boots is the perfect outfit to wear for your day adventures. You can wear it all day and into the night as it’s the right combo of dressy and casual. Top it off with the denim jacket and you’re ready to take on the town.

Remember those comfy faux leather pants you wore in-flight? Well, they’re going to come in handy for day three! Re-purpose these beauties with a crochet sweater and pair of heeled booties for exploring the city and heading out to the hottest restaurants. Don’t forget to take pictures! After all, you look way too fabulous to not take pictures.

Last day of the trip calls for a sexy neutral outfit that’s perfect for taking you from day to night. A textured sweater dress makes the perfect match with the over-the-knee boots. For this look, leave the jacket out as its simplistic nature needs no other additions.

Sadly it’s time to head back home and day five calls for a shirt dress that’s totally comfortable (there’s nothing worse than being uncomfortable on the plane). This plaid shirt dress is perfect for wearing to a quick little breakfast before heading off to the airport. Pair it with your over-the-knee boots, your favorite denim jacket and your favorite Ace bag. A classic look for a day of travel.
So there you have it ladies. What will you be wearing for your holiday getaways? Let us know in the comments below!
