National Punch Day With A Fall Twist

20th Sep 2015 / By Guest Contributor

Fruit punch, rum punch, bourbon punch… there’s nothing more inviting than a big bowl of this refreshing, fruity goodness. But who knew there was such a thing as National Punch Day? One thing is for sure – I’m not complaining! Since we’re heading into the fall season, what better way to celebrate this unique holiday than with a fall punch recipe? I call this: Tipsy Apple Cider Punch.

What you’ll need

    • large punch bowl
    • 2 gallons of apple cranberry juice
    • 4 bottles of fruity white wine (sauvignon blanc works great)
    • 4 tbsp of honey
    • apples (sliced)
    • pears (sliced)
    • cranberries for garnish
    • cinnamon sticks to taste

Directions:

Step 1: mix the juice, white wine and honey in your punch bowl

Step 2: add cinnamon sticks, sliced apples and sliced pears to punch bowl and stir

Step 3: let the punch chill while the flavors meld together

Step 4: serve with a ladle into cups and garnish with an apple slice

This is just perfect for any fall holiday, get-together or occasion. What are some of your fave fall beverages? Cheers!
