Business Women’s Day: Dressing for the Office

22nd Sep 2015 / By Guest Contributor

It’s Business Women’s Day, a great reason to celebrate women in business and while we’re at it why not celebrate the fierce fashion happening inside office buildings all around the world. Whether you’re a chic executive in charge or an edgy ‘do-it-all’, we’ve got the right staple items to put a pep in your step. After all, when it comes to fashion and shoes — we mean business!

There are two things every business woman needs to make it in the corporate world: a good wrap dress and some versatile pumps. This Printed Wrap Dress is my favorite dress at the moment, i just love how feminine and bossy I feel in it and the color just really puts me in a great mood!

The Madison pumps are the perfect way to complete any office outfit, they’re neutral and timeless. Not only are these shoes classy but they’re also extremely comfortable which is great because I am always running from one meeting to another. The Martin bag, one of our most popular totes, is my go-to accessory because it fits my whole life (and laptop). Not to mention I am loving this beautiful new colorway.

WorkWear_Blog02The minute September hits I like to dust off my burgundy’s and cream’s to kick in the new season. This Faux Leather Wrap Skirt totally stole my heart and I just knew it had to make an appearance in my work wardrobe. I love that this skirt is trendy yet classic, paired with the Shawl Collar Deep V Top I felt really sexy in a very demure and office-friendly way.

I chose to pair this look with the Fernn pumps mainly because of the color but when wearing them I fell in love with how sophisticated it made me feel. When choosing the perfect bag for the office I went with Elijah — a stunning textured tote made for the modern day business woman.

WorkWear_Blog05The beautiful thing about being a business woman is that you’re not confined to a uniform or a certain dress code. There are so many ways to show your personal style (and even a little sex appeal) to let your personality stand out. I love how this Ruched Crossover Asymmetrical Dress is easy to take from desk to dawn. This burgundy Textured Blazer was the perfect way to cover up some of my curves for professional meetings during the day, take it off after 5PM and you’re date-night ready!

I wore Winne, my favorite over-the-knee boots at the moment and the the classic Globetrotter bag.
