Have you ever entered a contest and thought to yourself, “I will never win, there are how many other people out there entering? What are the odds?” Then you end up forgetting all about the contest and going on about your daily life. Well, those were my exact thoughts in February when my boyfriend’s mother, Mary, told me about a contest with JustFab where you could win to Be The Editor Contest. She told me she believed I could easily win the contest with the styling, fashion knowledge and experience I possessed. I laughed and told her I would enter the contest and I promised if I won I would take her on the trip to LA with me.
Long story short, I won! Me! The girl raised in a small town in Pennsylvania won a trip to LA to attend the JustFab Apparel Launch Event. I was beyond ecstatic and I was not surprised this emotion lasted through out the trip. From the luxurious chauffeur picking us up from the airport, to our stay at the Andaz Hotel with the beautiful view of the hills in West Hollywood, and to top it all off our invite to the Apparel Launch Party hosted by JustFab at the Sunset Tower Hotel.
The event was nothing short of impeccable. From the flashing lights of the red carpet full of celebrities such as Jennie Mai, Katrina Smirnoff, Peyton List, Stassi Schroeder and Shaun Ross, to the ambiance of the beautiful flower arrangements and the décor surrounding the patio and pool while listening to the beats of DJ Alex Merrell.
Not only was the atmosphere an eye pleaser they had multiple areas of engagement for all fashionistas alike. Jeanette Getrost, fashion illustrator, had a long line through the party of bloggers, JustFab employees and attendees waiting to have their picture sketched head-to-toe of their attire for the evening.
The best part of the event was getting to feel and try on the new apparel for JustFab in their pop-up-shop. The garments were stylish, true to size and great quality, nothing short of the JustFab experience. The pieces ranged from light-weight chiffon rompers, lace overlay tanks, fit and flare skirts and so much more, but they didn’t stop just there. They also had new styles of footwear to catch your eye such as sneakers, sandals and pumps to handbags full of color, detail and size. Just when I thought they couldn’t be any more welcoming and giving I was told by our lovely host of the evening, Claudia V., that we were allowed to choose one item of our choice. After long contemplation I decided on the teal Morra sandal with the slight gold detail, which I’ve already received numerous compliments on.
The overall event was an experience I will truly remember for a long time to come. From the friendly and personable employees of JustFab, to the amazing apparel and accessory pop-up shop, and the exceptional hospitality provided throughout our trip my experience was so much more than I could have ever imagined.
