The world can now rejoice because it’s Girl Scout Cookie season! From thin mints to samoas, there is a flavor everyone drools over. So in honor of National Girl Scout Day, I decided to step the cookie game up a notch & put together some boozy Girl Scout cookie cocktails that you will surely enjoy.
Samoas Cookie Cocktail
Ingredients:
1 tbsp of chocolate syrup
1/2 cup of shredded coconut
1 Samoas Girl Scout Cookie
1 tbsp of caramel syrup
4 oz of chocolate liqueur
3 oz of caramel vodka
3 oz Malibu rum
2 oz half-and-half
Directions:
1. Put some chocolate syrup on a plate. Twist the rim of the glass into the syrup.
2. Put some coconut onto a plate. Twist the chocolate rimmed glass into the coconut until fully covered.
3. Combine the chocolate liqueur, caramel vodka, Malibu rum and half-and-half into a chilled cocktail shaker.
4. Pour the drink into the glass and then garnish it with a Samoa cookie.
Thin Mint Martini
Ingredients:
1 tbsp of chocolate syrup
2 tbsp of peppermint schnapps
¾ cup of chocolate liqueur
¾ cup of half-and-half
A few cubes of ice
Directions:
1. Drizzle chocolate syrup inside the edge of a martini glass then place it in the freezer.
2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
3. Pour the peppermint schnapps, chocolate liqueur and half-and-half into the shaker.
4. Shake and then strain the martini into the prepared glass.
Spiked Trefoil Milkshake
Ingredients:
10 Trefoil Girl Scout cookies
1 ½ cups of whole milk
2 cups of vanilla ice cream
½ oz of bourbon
Whipped cream
Directions:
1. Combine milk and cookies in a container, seal and store in refrigerator for 1-4 hours.
2. Remove milk and cookies from the fridge. Discard the chunks of cookies and strain the milk into a blender.
3. Add ice cream and bourbon to the milk mixture.
4. Puree the mixture until the ice cream is a smooth consistency.
5. Pour the shake into glasses and top with whipped cream.
