These days, communication is typically done through technology. We send texts, tweets and emails and have long forgotten about the trusty old pen and paper. In honor of Letter Writing Day, put away your gadgets and pick up a pen. I’m giving you tips that will help you create sweet hand written notes that are sure to brighten anyone’s day.
What you’ll need
Paper (I used different colored paper)
Pens/Markers
Calligraphy Writing Tips:
1. Begin by writing out your word or phrase in cursive with a pen or marker.
2. Create a little space to fill in by drawing parallel lines to all the down strokes (the parts of the letter that you drag your pen down). The up-strokes (the lines your pen makes when going up) should be thin.
3. Once you have created this space between the lines, simply shade them in with your pen/marker.

Letter to Your Sister
Are you and your sister(s) really close? Show your sister a little love by sending her a quick note thanking her for being your original friend.
Letter to your BFF
I think of my best friend as a sister. We not only laugh and get in trouble together, but we always find ways to encourage one other. When writing a note to your BFF, be sure to choose phrases/words that are not only cute but inspiring.
Letter to your Boss
One objective of your boss’s job is to give you the skills and tools you need in order to succeed. Be sure that your note to your supervisor gives them the thumbs up and congratulates them on a job well done.
Letter to Your Mom
You don’t have to wait until Mother’s Day to show your mom some love. Let her know how awesome she is by sending her a hand written card. She’ll feel super special!
