Ever wonder how to save money while traveling? Well wonder no more, today is your lucky day! I’ve rounded up 4 travel hacks that will surely help you stay on budget during your fabulous vacation.
Travel Websites: I suggest using the following sites: Kayak.com, Expedia.com and Orbitz.com. The reason why: they possess multiple cheaper flight deals above all other sites. In addition, you can take advantage of their multi city option which will make you save even more money & time in case you plan to flying in to several destinations.
Hostel Websites: This is the second expense that can leave your wallet almost bare. If you are willing to be adventurous and make local friends, I suggest using coachsurfing.org. If you need some international friends you can use: hostelbookers.com. I have made use of both sites in the past while traveling around Asia and I created great long lasting friendships. These sites provide clean and safe places to stay for less.
Mobile App: There is nothing worse than paying extra money for food while traveling. With the app AroundMe, you will be able to check restaurants, coffee places, stores, etc. all around your surrounding area. This app is fabulous as it can help you find great affordable places to indulge in.
Packing Shoes: This tip is for all the ladies that need to pack at least 3 pairs of shoes or MORE. If you are bringing a pair of flats, you can simply put them inside a shower cap. This trick works for almost all shoes, except boots and high heels. However, I have a nice trick on how to pack them: for heels and boots, stuff socks and small clothing items inside them. This way, you will save a lot of space while keeping your shoes in shape.
Now you are ready to book for your next destination! I wish you a fantastic trip & please share your experiences with us.
