Today is National Fortune Cookie day! Yes, an entire day dedicated to crispy cookies filled with luck-bearing paper! In my house, this is cause for a celebration and that means one thing and one thing only: Tonight I’ll be ordering a boatload of Chinese food for dinner in hopes that, in honor of this day, I’ll find the most epic fortune of all time! Of course, given that there’s a definite chance that won’t happen — this past Christmas I opened not one, not two, not three, but FOUR fortune cookies in a row with no fortune! — I decided to take it upon myself and write my own fabulously fun fortunes! Keep in mind these aren’t traditional (and they definitely follow a style-inspired theme) but hopefully you’ll have a good laugh and maybe even pass them on. Enjoy!
