It’s time to get your zip on with one of Fall’s biggest trends: zippers! These modern, metal details are no longer reserved for just the punk, edgy girl, but rather they’re a fun accent for the cool, glam girl too! Found on everything from shoes to bags to jewelry—and even clothing—the possibilities are endless. Here are some of my faves that I can’t wait to zip into this season!
When you think zippers, you often think studs, chains, and hardware too—maybe a biker jacket, moto boots and some leather leggings. And while this is totally on the mark, I like to turn things up a notch with some unexpected pairings. I love the idea of mixing embellished glam pieces with your zipper accessories for an of-the-moment luxe look. My take: Try a matching cropped top and skirt set as shown here, with the subtly sexy Alysee heel and Jubilee bag.
And if skirts and dresses aren’t your thing, then try an all-in-one jumpsuit. The Mandy jumpsuit is a particular fave of mine with its understated zipper detail at the neckline. It’s clean and simple, and allows you to layer your look with bolder zipper accessories. My take: Add a cropped blazer, an oversized tote, delicate bracelet and classic metallic heels for a fresh and modern look.
