June is National Rose Month! Did you know that the rose is considered the National Floral Emblem of the United States? Roses are not only beautiful and symbolic; they can be used in a variety of ways in your everyday life. So don’t just save those bouquets for special occasions, use those pretty petals to enhance your daily beauty routine! To celebrate the rose, we’ve gathered 5 rose beauty recipes you can easily create at home.

Rose Sugar Scrub
2-3 roses
3/4 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup almond oil
1/2 cup brown sugar, loosely packed

  • Put a large scoop of coconut oil in the bottom of the jar
  • Place the rose petals on top of the coconut oil
  • Add the brown sugar
  • Layer almond on top of the sugar
  • Wait for the oil to seep down to the flower petals and then top it off with a little more of the oil
  • Place the lid on the jar and let sit for a few hours so the oils can soak into the petals
  • When you’re ready to use it, use a spoon to mash it all up. The sugar will help break up the rose petals.
