How to Wear Pretty Pastels and White this Spring

14th Mar 2014 / By Guest Contributor

Two of the biggest trends this Spring are WHITE and PASTELS. No surprise there! But how to wear them—keeping your look modern and fresh—is totally new!

Head-to-toe white is where it’s at this spring—and it’s easier to pull off than you may think! To break up the monotony of an all-white outfit, it’s important to choose juxtaposing textures, prints and fabrics. For example, pair your white denim with a sheer-panel tee, perforated jacket, patterned heels and laser-cut bag to create a rich looking mix that’s anything but boring.

If white on white feels a bit over-the-top for your style, try white accessories. Nothing pops more against a backdrop of black, brights or even pastels than this stark hue. Plus, it will give any outfit an of-the-moment twist.

In addition, soft shades of blue, pink, mint, lavender and peach are everywhere this spring! And just like the white trend, texture is key to making these colors come to life. Thankfully, you’ll notice that this pretty palette comes in everything from lace, to pleats, to embroidery and beyond!  So to keep the soft hues feeling new, pair them with chic neutrals, trendy metallics and, of course, white. I particularly love Just Fab’s debut dress collection paired with colorblock ankle straps and an oversized bow tote.

So whether you choose white, pastels, or some sort of combo of both, all you really need is confidence to pull off this totally chic look!
