What better way to welcome your nails into 2014 than with some new looks on your tips? Here are three of the season’s must-try manicure trends.
Metallic is having a major moment right now. A favorite addition of mine to any flat manicure is a metallic half moon or strip. There are all sorts of companies coming out with metallic decals and nail wraps. Wrap Artist Nails has released silver and gold nail art tattoos that are super easy to apply.
Another trend I’m happy about is matte. Matte everything! Glitters, nudes, reds, blacks, all your favorite colors, just add a matte top coat. Deborah Lippmann and Essie’s matte top coats are my go to’s.
Last but not least lets talk about monochromatic. A black and white mani is timeless. Even if its something as simple as one hand polished white and the other black. Minimal is always in style. Personally, I love to add metallic elements to black and white nail art, similar to the nail art above. Another way to get the look is with black and white nails wraps. NCLA and Sally Hansen make the best monochromatic wrap designs. Bonus: they are easy to apply.
