What inspired you to start a blog and what do you love about blogging?
I jumped on the blog-wagon after I realized I had this obsession for sharing things. I was first using Facebook (pre-Instagram days) to share pictures of my latest purchase, an outfit I wore, or a beauty selfie. I noticed friends who liked my posts would encourage me to start a blog. So glad I did! It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I get to go on a journey of self-discovery everyday!
There are so many things I enjoy about blogging! I think the #1 thing is getting to wake up everyday and do what I love. I took my site from a hobby to a full-time career, and it challenges me everyday to think bigger and more creatively to reach the next big step! I love being the creator and the voice behind my site. It’s the perfect job!
Who is your biggest style inspiration?
That is such a tough question! Celebrity-wise, I would say the Olsen twins. They are the ultimate trendsetters of my generation, and they embrace style because they want to, not because they’re celebs and they have to. Personal life-wise, I look up to my two older sisters who love fashion and style just as much as I do. I can always count on them to give me honest outfit advice when I need it!
What style rule(s) do you live by?
Understand YOUR body type. We all come in different shapes and sizes! I know it’s definitely helped me figure out what works and what doesn’t.
What fashion trends are you looking forward to in 2014?
I think the trend forecast for 2014 will be minimal chic, but I’m looking forward to playing with more fun prints! We saw a lot of stripes this year, so I’m curious to know what print will make its mark in 2014.
What 3 beauty items could you never part with?
Concealer, hairspray, my tease-comb.
If you could only wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?
One of those wrap dresses you can wear in like 20 different ways! 😉
