4 Cocktail Recipes to Enjoy Before Summer’s End

There is no better way to enjoy a hot summer day than with a cocktail in hand. Inspired by Watermelon Day and Peach Day in August, we created fruity cocktails to share with you. These sweet fruits are a top pick for a summer treat, why not add a little alcohol to them get the good times flowing?Watermelon Lemonade: A delicious twist on a classic summer beverage. This recipe yields 8 servings.
For this refreshing summer drink you will need:

  • 2 lemons
  • 1 cup of fresh mint leaves
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ medium seedless watermelon
  • 1 cup of vodka

Squeeze the lemons in to a large pitcher. Add mint and sugar; begin to mash the ingredients until the sugar dissolves. Blend the watermelon chunks to a puree separately. Combine the ingredients and drink up! Optional: Hold the vodka so the kids can enjoy.

Watermelon-Cucumber Slushie – The combination of watermelon, cucumber, and mint over ice offers both sweet and refreshing flavors.
Ingredients yield 4 servings:

  • 1 cucumber
  • 6 cups of watermelon cubes
  • ¼ cup mint leaves
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 4 cups of ice
  • 1 cup tequila

Add all the ingredients in the blender and blend to a consistency that works for you, cheers!

Peach Margarita: Grab some tortilla chips, and a bowl of guacamole, while you sip on sweet margaritas.
Recipe yields 4 servings:

  • ½ cup of silver tequila
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1 ½ oz. peach schnapps
  • 3 ripe peaches
  • Agave nectar
  • Ice to preference

Blend all the ingredients until smooth, pour in a glass and enjoy.
Sparkling Rosemary-Peach: A classic Bellini with a twist. The rosemary adds a different element of taste to this cocktail.
For 8 servings, you will need the following:

  • ¾ cup of water
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • 1 rosemary sprig
  • 2 peaches
  • 1 bottle of champagne

Combine water, sugar and rosemary in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour the syrup like content into a bowl discarding the large chunks, bring to room temp. Place the syrup and with peaches in a blender and blend until smooth. Mix a preferred amount of syrup with champagne and enjoy.
