Stop Stressing! 4 Tips To Ease Your Anxiety

Stressed out? Don’t be! In honor of National Stress Awareness Day, we asked our fellow JustFab staffers how their departments blow off steam. Need to chill out? Try a few of these handy techniques. 

WALK IT OUT

When things get a little crazy in the PR department, Jane and Sarah like to burn a few calories while enjoying the LA sun. “We relieve stress by taking walks. We often go for long walks outside during our lunch break to get our blood flowing, get our minds off work, vent and breathe in the fresh air. There’s definitely some laughing that goes on during these walks that helps relieve stress, too!”

STRIKE A POSE

Our social media mavens tap into their inner goddesses to unwind and relax. “We loosen up by doing modified yoga poses at our desks. Take a few minutes during your day to relieve tension!” Try these desk-friendly poses inspired by common yoga positions:

  1. Seated cat/cow
  2. Seated spinal twist
  3. Wrist stretch
  4. Corpse pose

GET CRAFTY

It’s no surprise that the Creative Team turns to art as an outlet for stress. On more than one occasion, we’ve gathered at a conference table and made everything from bracelets to ugly Christmas sweaters. It’s a great way to bond as a team while making something for ourselves or a gift!

GRAB A DRINK

It may not be the healthiest or most work-appropriate way to combat stress, but it is effective. A long-standing tradition of the Operations Team is the Friday Beer Cart. At the end of each week, our Vice President of Operations fills up a rolling cart with cups or bottles of beer and hands them out to anyone in need. (Brett was out of town this week, so we had to make do with pouring our own beers at the bar!) Cheers!
