With the 85th Annual Academy Awards just 48 hours away, my girls are logging in their sessions with trainers, downing bottles of organic juices for their cleanses and prepping the skin so they are camera-ready. While the ladies are prepping so am I – and to be honest, I’ve been prepping for the Oscars Party Circuit for months now. None of my girls were nominated or are presenting this year, but I will be dressing Miranda Kerr, Haley Bennett, Carla Gugino and Andrea Riseborough (just to name a few) for the Vanity Fair soiree and a slew of other parties.
This season on the red carpet, I predict there will be plenty of structured gowns and a plethora of stunning fabrics, such as chiffon and satin, in a range of colors. Jewelry-wise, it will be about one bold statement piece – such as a large cocktail ring or statement necklace.
All of the starlets will be in show-stopping custom haute couture, and trust me, there will be a lot of custom gowns. The designers are pulling out all the stops for this season. This is the grand finale of red carpet season, and let me tell you, the Oscar red carpet is the world’s largest runway – this can make or break a designer’s reputation, as well as mine!
This year, I am particularly excited to see the stunning Jennifer Lawrence, because she has been causing quite a stir on the red carpet. If she sticks with Christian Dior Haute Couture, she can do no wrong. Who will she be wearing and will her dress be a hit or miss? Who are you excited to see?
