Hey, Guys! I can’t believe we are already a month into the New Year. How crazy is that?! The confetti and noisemakers have been replaced with hearts and love songs for Valentine’s Day. Whether you have a date or you’re just hanging out with the girls, here are some makeup tips and advice fit for the occasion!
PLAY UP YOUR EYES, LIPS, OR BOTH
Choose a fun color for your eyes – just enough so it flashes when you blink. Keep it neutral and soft… the color doesn’t always have to be so dramatic. The fun thing about Valentine’s Day is you can’t go wrong with your lip color! You can choose anything from deep berry colors to a really light pink. Remember to make sure your lips are soft!
GET FANCY WITH YOUR FINGERS
This is a great time of the year to get really cutesy and girly with your nail art. There is always the option of painting hearts on your nails, but try to get creative! Just because it’s Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean you have to stick to pinks and reds. Use blues, purples, metallics, and of course, glitter. If you are going on a date, keep it simple. If you’re going out with a group, I say glam it up!
THE FINISHING TOUCH
Last-minute details and finishing touches are so important. Don’t forget to spray yourself with your favorite perfume (but don’t overdo it!). Take whatever lip color you are wearing with you. I also like to make sure my hands are really soft… you never know if someone will be holding it by the end of the night. Love is in the air, after all!
