The dreaded words gift wrapping! Oh yes, Fabshionistas, the time is here for gift giving and wrapping. I might not be an expert but I have had the lovely experience of gift wrapping at a previous position. It might seem intimidating and even embarrassing trying to get that perfect wrap but through my experience it is actually a pretty easy process so long as you know some tricks to the trade.
Supplies needed for this project:
• Scissors
• Ribbon
• Wrapping Paper
• Sparkly Piping cleaner
• Sparkly balls
Steps 1, 2, & 3: Start by cutting your paper to the right length for your gift. Tape the underlying piece to the package and pull the outside paper all the way over to the edge creasing it over the edge and then folding it to give it a clean edge. Then using double tape press the paper down to seal.
Cute each end about a fingers length so not to have too little or too much paper for the fold.
Then fold in each corner creating a triangle.
Steps 4, 5, & 6: Once you have your triangles fold the tip in giving it a clean squared off edge. Use double sided tape to seal.
Wrap your ribbon with the bottom up to twist and come up around to the top.
Steps 7, 8, & 9: Once you’ve brought your ribbon around to the top bring each end under the criss cross to get a nice not.
Grab your Sparkly Piping cleaner and not around the ribbon not.
Maneuver the piping in circles to give a fun swirling look.
Steps 10, 11, 12: Once you finished with the piping you want to give the ribbon a nice clean edge. Simply fold the ribbon inwardly cut with a downward angle. Voilà you have a beautifully wrapped gift.
