Happy Friday! Yesterday was a whirlwind of a day. First of all, did you know that it was National Roller Coaster Day? (Get it? Whirlwind… Roller Coasters… 😉 I, personally, can’t get enough of the crazy heart-pumping rides, but unfortunately I wasn’t near a roller coaster yesterday, so I was unable to celebrate. A few weekends back I visited the Orange County Fair and rode all the rides that it had to offer, including a roller coaster, so at least it’s fresh in my mind. I also ate a corn dog and funnel cake (when in Rome, right?!). They were delicious.
What I was able to celebrate, however, was my mom’s birthday. That’s right – my mom shares her birthday with National Roller Coaster Day, which is ironic considering my mother has never been on a roller coaster. She claims she prefers ‘watching,’ which I think is code for ‘I-am-terrified-but-want-to-remain-looking-like-I’m-in-control.’ She also always wears fabulous shoes, even when she is at a theme park. It’s hard to ride a roller coaster in heels, let me tell you. I have tried. It’s not easy.
So, happy birthday, Mom, the best mother I could have asked for, and happy birthday to all the little roller coasters out there.
P.S. I recently bought my mom her first pair of JustFab platform heels. She loved them.
P.S.S. I hope you all have an amazing weekend. Enjoy it! Ride a roller coaster with your mom!
Xoxo,
Elle
