Shake Up Your Summer Shades With Orange

I got this fantastic orange turban from Robyn at shemakeshats.etsy.com where she sells finished hats and patterns of all kinds. I’ve been on a mad hunt for the perfect turban, and when I saw this one, I knew I had to have it. Turbans have had small moments en vogue over the past few seasons, but I think they will be making a huge comeback this fall. I decided to get mine now so I can be ahead of the curve. Also, I enjoy a good fashion challenge, so making a traditionally fall accessory work with springwear sounded like fun.

I’ve always been a huge fan of the color orange; I think it is highly under appreciated. Orange is a great way to work color into a wardrobe that tends to be dark or neutral. Orange can be used in many ways as a replacement for brown.

An even more summery outfit is in the plans for my turban shemakeshats.etsy.com It’s going to be paired with a rich purple tank top, and a bright pink and orange Ikat maxi skirt. It’s going to be FAB!

It just so happened that my Hortense wedges were a perfect match. I paired both items with a pair of black skinny jeans and a dark olive dolman-sleeved top and ALL of my favorite necklaces.

I bought Hortense on a whim, and she has become one of my favorite pairs of shoes that I own! She is super comfortable and the perfect daytime wedge for the summer.  This summer is all about pushing boundaries for me, so get out there ladies and get funky!
