Need A Mint? Get Prepped For St. Patty’s Day With These Green Styles

Mint green was all over the spring runways. Pants, dresses, button-downs, you name it, designers like Tory Burch, Rodarte and Diane von Furstenberg made it. But just because the fashion lords say it’s great, doesn’t mean us real women can pull it off. As cool as seafoam can be, it also has the potential to make you look a bit sickly. But have no fear, FABshionistas, the experts at are here to save your style. They put together a few looks, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, that will have your friends green with envy!

If you plan to sit down for a hearty lunch of corned beef and cabbage, then we suggest wearing a flirty floral skirt with a loose tank. If the climes are still cool in your neck of the woods, feel free to toss on a denim jacket. Then incorporate a hint of mint with Paulette, a platform peep toe pump; The Amazon, a sensible satchel with woven details; and/or The Sorcerer’s Stone, a long necklace with an emerald-inspired pendant.

If chugging pitchers of green beer at the bar is more your style, then keep your clothes casual-cool with dark denim and a neutral-hued top. Make Your Point adds some attitude to a laid-back look, while the top-selling Thomasina platform heel will give your stature a boost, so you’re not eye-level with a leprechaun. Or, if a great bag is where it’s at, then we suggest, again, The Amazon.

It’s possible (although we certainly hope unlikely) that a few fellow FABshionistas will be working on Saturday, so we’ve included a nice professional ensemble just for you. But just because you’re on duty doesn’t mean your outfit should be dull. So we chose a printed dress with a down-to-earth color scheme that mixes leopard spots and floral imagery. Wear Thomasina to draw out that shamrock shade, or adorn your neck with The Sorcerer’s Stone. Then slip into a white tuxedo jacket, and you will be dressed to impress!

Have a happy St. Patrick’s Day, and don’t forget to wear your (mint) green. I wouldn’t want you to get pinched!
