Question: Is it appropriate to wear booties in the summer?

If you want to wear booties during the hot and humid months of the South, then I’d definitely wear them on a night out. Pair them with black skinnies and a super sexy top. Or you could really rock it by wearing cut-off denim shorts with a tank or button-down tucked in or half tucked. Either way, you’re sure to look cool!
