No-Heat Summer Hairstyles You Need To Try

Summer Hairstyles

With Summer Solstice finally here, the fun is finally beginning! The night gets longer; skin gets darker, life gets better, but hair does not always agree with our feelings towards the summertime. I find my hair really having a mind of its own with the hotter weather. The sweat, humidity, in addition to the heat of blow dryers, straighteners, and curling irons make my hair my biggest enemy in the summer. Not until this summer that is, I have finally figured it out! No heat in the heat will keep your hair sane! Braids, buns, and some cute hair accessories still give you that “I just spent hours on my hair” without the actual time being spent.

Here are a couple of my favorite, trendy summer hairstyles and accessories to tame your hair, keep you cool, and looking fabulous!

From your traditional braid to a French braid, braids are a top trend for Summer 2014 and can easily be incorporated into almost any hairstyle.

Just like when putting an outfit together you are never done until you have accessorized. Hair is no different. There’s no better way to add flair to your hair than a cute flower headband or ponytail. Flower headbands aren’t the only pieces of hair accessories I like, using a fun scrunchy or adding a ribbon to your everyday top-knot are other options that will give you that summer fun look as well.

While hair accessories are really in this summer, by far my favorite go-to hairdo has to be the messy bun! How can you not love it? You can take it from over-the-top messy to a bit more sleek and ready for a night out.

Before styling, add a tad of a sea salt spray, and finish with a little spritz of hairspray for the flyaways to keep your summer hair looking amazing!
