Ladies, today is no ordinary day! In fact, it is on this day, May 12th, that we celebrate National Limerick Day! If you’re not familiar, Limerick Day is celebrated every year as a nod to the poet Edward Lear who was known for his silly somewhat nonsensical poetry. Of course, this also means we celebrate the birth of the limerick as it was born from his 1864 work, the “Book of Nonsense.” To refresh your memory, a limerick is a brief, quick-witted, five line poem following a specific rhyme scheme: The first two lines rhyme with each other, as well as the fifth line, while the third and fourth lines rhyme together. Sure, you could compose a limerick about anything (and believe me, I’ve tried!) but, given that we all have a passion for fashion, I used that theme as my guide and gave this funny little poem a try. Enjoy these and feel free to pass on!
Robin, that is SO true the last time I had major shoe retail therapy was when one of my models bailed on me. Ha!
Whoas actually would be what you tell a horse to stop. Though in this particular context I think it was an error, it is indeed, a word. :)
"Whoas" really? You realize that's not a word, right? I believe the word you want is "woes". When in doubt look it up, otherwise you embarrass an entire shoe company.
@ohhailzyeeah Obvs a lot because were shallow, materialistic, heartless bitches
Wow, that was rude! You never know, it was probably a typo or auto-correct. Everyone makes mistakes. You seem to be the result of one!
