You have the costume, party plans, and extra sultry makeup…now it’s time to focus on feeling and looking your best on Halloween. Don’t fear this spooky holiday, ladies, I’ve rounded up a few tricks to have you looking fab and feeling confident just in time for Halloween weekend. 

5 Small Meals – The best way to speed up your metabolism and burn fat is by eating! Begin by eating three small meals and two snacks a day, every three hours. Try eating a small omelet and toast for breakfast, peanut butter and apples for snack #1, lean protein and whole grains for lunch, non-fat Greek yogurt for snack #2, and lean protein & veggies for dinner.

Drink Up – Keeping hydrated increases your metabolism and also controls hunger. Try drinking 8 glasses of water a day. For an extra boost try Dr.Oz’s fat burning tea! Simply mix 8 cups of brewed green tea, 1 tangerine (sliced) and a handful of mint leaves. Trust me, this tea will get rid of extra water weight, boost your energy levels, and it’s delicious!

Break a Sweat – Find an activity that gets you going and doesn’t feel like the same old boring workout. High burning calorie classes include extreme kickboxing, spin, zumba & even pole dancing! Lifting weights is also, a great way to tone up and burn body fat. Challenge yourself and break a sweat, an hour a day is more than enough.

Choose the Perfect Shapewear – Don’t fear this figure-enhancer, several celebs, including Kim K, have shared their love of shapewear. A body suit will provide bust support and slim your mid-section, while a thigh slimmer will lift and smooth your bottom and mid-section.

Indulge – Cutting back is tough and most people who deprive themselves from everything are most likely to fail. Once a week take the time to enjoy a small cheat treat, key word being small. If your sweet tooth is kicking in, have a cup of ice cream and enjoy it!

Relax – Studies show that stress can trigger belly fat & make it difficult to lose weight. To avoid this, try a relaxing yoga class or meditate in the mornings for 10-15 minutes. Lastly, get 7-8 hours of sleep every night, it’s called beauty sleep for a reason.

Stay True to Size – When selecting a sexy costume stay true to size. Buying it too big or too small won’t do you any good. Wearing the wrong size can be unflattering and uncomfortable.

CJ I agree, I am not fully a "grown up" I am only 20 and in college, but let me tell ya, I have so much more fun now picking out fun costumes with friends and throwing Halloween parties, then I did when I was a kid.
