Look Pretty On National Pink Day In These Eye-Catching Accessories

National Pink Day Shoes

From the day we’re born, we’re assigned a color to signify our gender: blue for boys; pink for girls. Parents dress their babies in these symbolic shades to proudly proclaim their child’s gender and avoid awkwardness from passersby (“Oh, your baby is adorable! Is it a boy or a girl?”). This practice also educates us at an early age which hues to gravitate toward (and stay away from) when we’re old enough to start choosing our own clothes. Personally, I’m not a huge pink fan; purple is more my color. But, in honor of National Pink Day, I’ve selected some pretty pieces to help you embrace your feminine fashion.

Add a pop of pink to your otherwise neutral ensemble with a pair of shoes. Keep it casual in a flat sandal like Shaye, or hit the town in a sleek pump like Viola. High-heeled sandals provide instant sex appeal whether you’re wearing black shorts or an LBD. Try Rashida for a more laidback look; her cork platform is relaxed and natural. Or grab Bellagio for something a little more sophisticated. If wedges are more your style, consider Carey or Tyra. These fuchsia phenoms are absolutely fabulous! Again, Carey’s cork wedge and braided details are more casual, while Tyra’s supple suede and streamlined silhouette are seriously sexy.

Wear your pink on your sleeve (or shoulder) with a bright bag! Pair it with other vibrant colors like lemon yellow or electric blue for a bold statement. Headed to work? Grab Daredevil. Off to the beach? Consider Oasis. Spending the day at a music festival or doing some sight-seeing? Bring along Honeydew Fizz. And if you’re planning to paint the town red, make sure to invite Fiesta, a multi-colored clutch with all the right stripes.

Incorporate a wink of pink into your summer ensemble with watermelon-colored jewels. Go for bold with the Pop Culture necklace. Its sparkling rhinestones will add a dash of drama to any understated outfit. Looking for something a little more subtle? Candy Girl will do the trick. She offers all of the color without any exaggeration. You can also let the succulent shade hang from your ears in the form of Color Calibration and A New Leaf. Both pairs of earrings boast a burst of color offset by metallic details.

If you really want to wake up your wardrobe, bust out your favorite pair of pink denim! Whether you opt for the chic skinny jean, cool cutoffs or sassy mini skirt, these vibrant pieces will add some unexpected oomph to your traditional summer style. You can even get a little perky in polka dots!

However you choose to wear pink on this festive day, we hope you look and feel glamorously girly!
