Pastel colors were all over the runways, and my closet is filled with gorgeous shades of pale pink, blush, coral and mint. The color family is easy to wear and also easy to incorporate into your existing closet. Another even easier and quicker way to incorporate this soft palette into your look is with cosmetics. Pastels can be so pretty on your skin and nails, so I thought I would go over my favorites.
Nails are probably the easiest way to add a pastel pop to your look. One of my favorite pastel nail shades is Essie’s Haute As Hello. I love its Fiji and Mint Candy Apple colors, too. Pretty much every skin tone can pull off the beautiful pastel shades available for your nails.
Pastel lips are also super easy to pull off. Obviously I’m not suggesting green or purple, but a color like Snob from MAC Cosmetics would be gorgeous! I also love Lingerie Pink from YSL. Both of these are very opaque and gorgeous on.
For eyes, I would suggest doing a mint, blue or purple liner for a pastel pop. Plus, this will make your eyes stand out like crazy!
Of course, you can also use pastels on your cheeks. I personally love MAC’s Coygirl for this. It’s a cool-toned pink-purple that is beautiful.
I definitely recommend using pastels in your makeup this spring. Let me know what products you love in the comments below!
