How To Take Neon From Summer To Fall

Neon For Fall

Neon is one of the hottest trends this summer, and I’m just thrilled about it. We are seeing these bold hues in everything from clothing and handbags to jewelry and nail polish. Now, I know these bright colors are worn with great ease during the hot summer months, but as all the fall clothing starts hitting the stores, you might be asking yourself how to incorporate this trend into your fall wardrobe? The answer….ACCESSORIES!

Fall is full of amazing oxblood tones, chunky knits, textured coats, embellished dresses, shiny leathers, peplum skirts, tops, pants….all of which look fantastic with your neon summer accessories…a perfect “transitional look” if you will.

Oxblood has long been a favorite of mine, especially when worn with touches of neon pink. Try pairing a leather oxblood dress with a great neon pink rhinestone necklace. I love a monochromatic navy look with neon yellow nails. Neon shoes add a boost of color to a simple black peplum skirt and white blouse combinations. And, if all else fails, don’t be scared to add a neon bag to any of your denim and knit looks. I promise you, any granny element of your chunky knit will be immediately eradicated when pairing a great neon bag with your favorite cardigan and jeans.

I hope this helps you navigate your way around your closet as you start adding all of those great fall pieces!
