Answer The Call Of The Wild Prints

Animal Kingdom Intro

It’s a wild, wild world out there and what better way to show off your animal instincts than with the latest exotic prints. These fantastic animal prints seem to be a recurring theme in fashion. For decades we have seen stylish women showing a bit of flair with a great leopard heel or a reptile clutch. And so it continues with modern touches of zebra and giraffe prints while, of course, keeping the classic leopards and snakes in constant rotation.

For some, animal prints can seem daunting and overwhelming, while others seem to take the trend a bit too far. With that in mind, I thought it would be nice to point out a few Do’s and Dont’s:

1. DO: Treat An Animal Print As A Neutral

A great pair of leopard pumps would look super chic with a red cocktail dress or dark denim skinny jeans and a leather jacket. Please don’t feel relegated to only wearing your favorite LBD (little black dress).

2. DON’T: Overdo It On Any One Trend…Especially Animal Print

Of course there are exceptions to every rule, but in general, I suggest keeping your animal prints to one item per outfit. If you are wearing a leopard blouse, go for a solid pump.

3. DO: Try A Fresh Animal Print For Summer

I know it’s easy for us to remain in our comfort zones and stick with classic leopard. This summer, I suggest breaking out of that box and going for a great giraffe-print peep toe pump like JustFab’s Bambi. Have fun with this print and try pairing it with a great khaki dress or a skinny jean and army green jacket for an urban safari look.

4. DON’T: Be Afraid Of Wearing A Leopard Wedge

Traditionally, leopard shoes have always come in the form of pumps, but this new wedge shape gives us a little bit more of a casual and versatile look. I love the idea of pairing JustFab’s Marie with jean shorts and a graphic-print tee.

5. DO: Incorporate An Animal Print Clutch Into Your Collection

A leopard clutch, like JustFab’s 407, is a great way to add just the right amount of flair to an otherwise conservative look. Add this clutch to your favorite LBD, and you will instantly feel more stylish and put together.

6. DO: Try An Animal-Print Shoulder Bag For The Hot Summer Months

JustFab’s Daredevil bag is my absolute favorite. I love The chain detail. It gives some edge to an otherwise classic design.

I hope these tips give you the confidence to get wild with some of our favorite animal prints this summer!

Xoxo,

Nina
